MEET CARINA
I’m Carina, a passionate Pilates instructor and movement professional with a deep interest in how we move and how we can move better.
I first fell in love with Pilates in my early twenties while living in Perth, Australia. My first teacher instilled in me the importance of “really seeing” people. Through years of Pilates training and further study in corrective movement techniques, I’ve come to understand how to do that.
My teaching is rooted in observing how each client moves, understanding what their body is communicating and meeting them where they are at. Rather than trying to fix posture or force a certain shape, I work to uncover and shift the underlying patterns that are shaping movement. The goal is to create change from within so your body naturally finds positions that feel more supportive, allowing you to move with greater ease and freedom.
I also bring this approach into my work with pregnancy and postpartum clients, blending Pilates with corrective movement strategies. Having two children of my own, I know firsthand how impactful targeted movement can be during pregnancy to support a more positive birth experience and how valuable it is in navigating the challenges of recovery after birth.
Whether you’re looking to feel stronger and more connected in your body, are currently pregnant, or returning to movement after having a baby, I’d love to support you on your journey — in a one-on-one session or in a group class.

WHAT IS REVEAL PILATES?
The name Reveal Pilates captures my teaching philosophy. It stands for:
…being guided by the body to find ease in movements without force.
…encouraging openness to new insights and self-discovery through connecting our minds to our breath and movement.
…observing what the body communicates, seeking to understand why a particular exercise may not work, and finding ways to adapt.
Finally, Reveal Pilates also captures a principle I strive to live by: I don't need to know what the bigger picture is. All I can do is take the next right action and trust that “more will be revealed”.

FAQ
Any questions? Below you'll find answers to some questions you may have before starting Pilates. Feel free to get in touch if there is anything else you would like to know or if you are interested in taking classes with me.
Pilates is an exercise system that was developed in the early 20th century by the German Joseph Pilates. It is a mind-body approach to movement that builds strengths, improves flexibility and increases body awareness.
Just like with any other type of exercise, you will see results if you practice regularly and consistently. I try to practice at least 3 times a week. If you are new to Pilates, learn from an experienced instructor to get the most benefits from your training.
Many Pilates exercises can be modified for pregnancy. However, I recommend to adapt your training sessions and incorporate exericses that specifically prepare your body for birth and post-partum recovery. We can use the Pilates principles as basis and build from there to give you even better results.
A private session allows to tailor the exercises specifically to your needs. Pilates exercises are all about the details and especially if you are new to Pilates, following a large group class may be challenging. In a private session you receive corrections and adjustments specific to you and there is more time for you to integrate the movements in to your body. This can then also help you when you join group classes. Private session are also beneficial if you are dealing with a specific health issue or movement restriction as the program is then designed to meet your unique needs.
Yes, you can. I recommend letting the instructor know that you are new to Pilates and inform them of any injuries you may have. That way the instructor can offer you suitable modifications for some exercises. If classes indicate the level (e.g. Beginner, Experienced, etc.) I highly recommend choosing a level that is suitable for you to get the greatest benefit.
