The name Reveal Pilates captures why I love teaching Pilates and how I teach. It stands for:
…letting the body reveal its natural capacity for effective, efficient, spontaneous, smooth, and intelligent movement. Instead of overly focusing on contracting specific muscles for certain movements, we can guide the body towards a desired movement, allowing the body to figure out which muscle to activate, how and when, to achieve this movement.
…encouraging openness to new insights and self-discovery. By connecting our minds to our breath and movement, new understandings emerge naturally, without forcing or seeking specific outcomes.
…observing what the body communicates, understanding why a particular exercise may not work, and finding ways to adapt.
Finally, Reveal Pilates also captures a principle I strive to live by: I don't need to know what the bigger picture is. All I can do is take the next right action and trust that “more will be revealed”.

Pilates is an exercise system that was developed in the early 20th century by the German Joseph Pilates. It is a mind-body approach to movement that builds strengths, improves flexibility and increases body awareness.
Just like with any other type of exercise, you will see results if you practice regularly and consistenly. Aim for 2 – 3 sessions a week. If you are new to Pilates, practice with an experienced instructor to get the most benefits from your training.
Many Pilates exercises can be modified for pregnancy. However, I recommend to adapt your training sessions and incorporate exericses that specifically prepare your body for birth and post-partum recovery. We can use the Pilates principles as basis and build from there to give you even better results.
A private sessions allows to tailor the exercises specifially to your needs. Pilates exercises are all about the details and especially if you are new to Pilates, following a large group class may be challenging. A private sessions gives you the benefit of making corrections and adjustements specifically to you and allow you to gain better body awareness and control, which you can then use when you join group classes.A private sessions allows to tailor the exercises specifially to your needs. Yes, you can. I recommend letting the instructor know that you are new to Pilates and inform them of any injuries you may have. That way the instructor can offer you suitable modification for some exercises. If classes indicate the level (e.g. Beginner, Experienced, etc.) I highly recommend choosing a level that is suitable for you to get the greatest benefit.

MEET CARINA
I discovered my love for Pilates in my early twenties, while living in Perth, Western Australia. My first Pilates teacher inspired me to become an instructor and share this amazing method that transforms the body and mind with others.
I have been teaching Pilates Mat classes since 2013. In 2024 I started my journey to become certified to teach on all Pilates appartuses. I trained with Balanced Body and I am currently enrolled in the Polestar Pilates Transition programm.
Additoinally, I specalise in pre and post natal training. Working with mothers during their pregnancy and post-partum period is very dear to my heart because of my own experiences with two very different pregnancies and births. I love helping women feel empowerd during their pregnancy, use movement to prepare for birth and experience an easier post-partum recovery.
